Days after ‘permanently closing’ – Popular Coffee shop announces U-Turn with new owners
Just days ago, Prufrock Coffee announced that it was closing its doors for good. The announcement was made on their various social media profiles and we covered the story in more detail here. Somewhat mysteriously, the closing statement didn’t really give much information away in terms of why it was closing. Nonetheless, this news didn’t go down well with locals who were unsurprisingly disappointed. Since 2020, it’s fair to say that Prufrock has struggled with various openings and closures.
Yesterday however, some good news emerged which will please fans of the establishment. On its Instagram page, the coffee shop wrote: ‘Prufrock is closed temporarily and will re-open in December under new ownership by Paul & Eve Raphael! Stay tuned!’
This statement gained hundreds of likes and comments with Indianapolis locals celebrating that this established coffee shop will not be closing permanently. Here, one person even went as far as to say: “Like someone else said, it really is a Christmas miracle.”
While this may be a tad dramatic, it shows just how loved this coffee shop is. Unfortunately, it is not known how long the shop will be temporarily closed for but due to the statement, you would expect it to return within a matter of weeks at the latest.
