In a major win for the cannabis industry, Raekwon of the Wu-Tang Clan, radio DJ Charlamagne tha God, and civil rights attorney Bakari Sellers have just announced that their joint venture, Hashstoria, has been awarded a Class V cannabis retail license in Newark, New Jersey. The trio will be partnering with renowned architect Rachael Grochowski to transform a historic building in downtown Newark’s Four Corners into a state-of-the-art cannabis dispensary.

This is a major step forward for the cannabis industry in Newark, and a significant move towards normalizing and legitimizing the sale and use of cannabis. This project is poised to be a game-changer for both the city of Newark and the broader cannabis community.

In the first stage of the project, Hashstoria will open a dispensary in the early part of 2024, with plans to expand it into a consumption lounge later in the year.
