Portland-based grocer, New Seasons Market, announced on Monday the upcoming grand opening of its first store in Milwaukie, Oregon.

Slated to open on March 27th, 2024, the new store is projected to create over 100 local jobs and will occupy the former Albertsons location at 10830 S.E. Oak St., which has been vacant since 2015.

Spanning over 35,000 square feet, the Milwaukie store will offer the same high-quality shopping experience found in other New Seasons locations. Customers can expect a comprehensive selection of offerings, including:

  • A full-service meat and seafood department
  • A prepared foods section featuring ready-to-eat meals
  • Locally-sourced produce and cheese
  • Craft beers, wines, and other grocery staples from Pacific Northwest suppliers

This expansion marks a continued commitment to serving the Pacific Northwest by New Seasons Market, which was acquired by South Korean retail giant Emart in 2019. The company recently opened its second Vancouver store in fall 2023 and has plans to open a second location in Hillsboro, Oregon, in 2025.

Founded in 1999, the company focuses on offering a mix of locally produced, organic, and conventional groceries, with a commitment to sustainability and community involvement. Currently, New Seasons Market operates over 20 stores, including locations in Portland, Hillsboro, Beaverton, Vancouver, and San Jose, California.
