Dunhuang Noodles, a restaurant chain specializing in northwestern Chinese cuisine, has recently opened its twelfth location on the Jersey City waterfront. The new eatery, situated within The Beach development on the complex’s southwest side, officially began serving its hearty dishes to the public.

This expansion marks a significant milestone for Dunhuang Noodles, which opened its first outpost in Flushing, New York, in 2015. Since then, the company has established a presence in various prominent neighborhoods, including the Upper West Side, Williamsburg, Long Island City, and even Grand Central Terminal.

The Jersey City location offers a unique dining experience, blending Middle Eastern and Chinese culinary influences in a modern and well-lit space. Floor-to-ceiling windows bathe the interior in natural light, while offering guests scenic views of the nearby Newport Green.

Dunhuang’s menu boasts a diverse selection of appetizers, featuring pita bread filled with stewed pork, spicy cumin lamb, and spicy beef. The restaurant’s signature dish is a flavorful beef noodle soup from Lanzhou, where customers can choose their preferred noodle thickness freshly prepared to order.

For the main course, diners can indulge in succulent options such as prime lamb braised with peppers or a hearty “Big Plate Chicken” dish slow-cooked in the Xin Jiang style with potatoes and peppers.
