Iconic restaurant abruptly closes prime Charlotte location with no explanation

A spokesperson for Chili’s Bar & Grill recently confirmed that Chili’s has closed one of its main Charlotte locations, situated at 8136 Providence Road within the Arboretum shopping center. According to Chili’s spokesperson Deme Jackson, a representative for Chili’s the lease for the Providence Road restaurant expired and was not renewed.

Subsequently, the closure was also confirmed by an employee of the establishment who confirmed that Tuesday, January 9th was the restaurant’s final day of operation. The employee, who requested anonymity, also claimed that staff were notified of the closure by a district manager, with a manager unavailable for immediate comment. At this point in time, it is not known what will replace the eatery.
