Over $100,000 of stock stolen from Guitar House of Tulsa after burglary
Tulsa’s oldest guitar shop was unfortunately burglarized two nights ago with a number of rare and valuable guitars stolen from their shop. Of the several guitars stolen, one included the super rare ’78 Eruption model that was listed on sale for $25,000. Similarly, a 1954 Gibson J-200 Sunburst worth $17,499 was also stolen.
Overall, at least ten guitars were stolen which all had significant value worth thousands of dollars each. News of the robbery was posted on the Guitar House of Tulsa Instagram page where they showed a list of the stolen guitars and their respective values.
Here they wrote: ‘Hi friends, our store was broken into and burglarized tonight. These listed guitars were stolen. Please keep an eye out and help us spread the word around if you can, they got some pretty good pieces from us. We appreciate any help our community can give, even if it’s just a share. Thank you!’
This led to an outpouring of sympathy from the local music community, while commenters as far as Alaska also paid their respects to the iconic shop. The Guitar House of Tulsa was established way back in 1964, and it has been a fixture in the Tulsa music scene ever since. With over half a century of history behind it, the Guitar House of Tulsa has become a go-to destination for musicians in the area.
