Daytona Costco Wholesale gets official opening date – And it’s coming next month
Daytona Beach will soon welcome a new addition: a Costco Wholesale store. This $17.8 million project, constructed on land owned by NASCAR, is scheduled for a grand opening on Thursday, February 2024, at 8:00 AM.
The One Daytona Costco boasts several prominent features. Members will have exclusive access to a 24-pump gas station and a comprehensive tire store equipped with five loading bays. Notably, Costco assumes full ownership of any structures it builds on the leased land, further solidifying its investment in the One Daytona community.
With an expansive footprint of 161,774 square feet, the One Daytona Costco will become the development’s largest tenant, exceeding the size of established businesses like Bass Pro Shops (67,068 square feet) and CMX Daytona 12 Luxury Theatres (50,000 square feet). This significant presence underscores Costco’s commitment to serving the local community and contributing to the vibrancy of One Daytona.
Costco Wholesale stores typically employ around 500 individuals, suggesting the potential for significant job creation upon the new location’s opening. This economic contribution further highlights the positive impact Costco will have on the Daytona Beach area.
There are around 25-30 Costco Wholesale stores in Florida while Costco has 600 warehouses in the United States. Costco was founded on September 15, 1983, by Jim Sinegal and Jeffrey H. Brotman in Seattle, Washington.
