Car completely crushed by fallen tree in LA suburb

Yesterday, a white Nissan sports car was completely destroyed after a huge eucalyptus tree fell directly on it. The front of the vehicle and windscreen were completely destroyed as the tree trunk was literally ripped from its roots by the sidewalk due to strong winds.

This incident was photographed by a passerby who happened to live in the neighborhood and was then shared on Reddit. Here, one user claimed to know the owner of the car but also confirmed that they were thankfully not in the car at the time of the damage. It goes without saying that if the car owner was inside the vehicle then this could have ended in tragedy.

This event took place in the Lankershim and La Maida in North Hollywood, Los Angeles and was quickly taped off by the local police force. Typically, when cars get destroyed they are covered by insurance which may have also saved the car owner a big headache after finding their car completely destroyed. Although rare, these incidents can and do happen. However, it is a good idea to exercise caution when parking in windy areas, especially near trees. As a result, when parking you should always try to avoid parking under trees if it can be helped.
