Chiddy’s Cheesesteaks to open in Astoria soon
A new fast-food joint is soon coming to Astoria. Chiddy’s Cheesesteaks signage has started appearing at the location previously occupied by Sabor de Cuba restaurant at 3703 31st Ave. This follows the Cuban eateries closure last year. At this moment in time, there is little information surrounding its opening, and a date has not yet been set for its debut.
As the name suggests, Chiddy’s Cheesesteaks offers just that, and this isn’t its first location either as there are several dotted around New York state. However, this is the first of its kind in Astoria. Currently, Astoria has a few neighborhood cheesesteak venues such as Compton’s however compared to other areas of the city it is lacking. With this said, Chiddy’s will be looking to fill a gap in the market. Not only does the chain sell cheesesteaks, it also does loaded fries, macaroni cheese, and hot dog dishes as well as desserts.

Established in 2014, Chiddy’s has grown from a food truck to multiple storefronts in Long Island, New York, with locations in Commack, West Islip, and Farmingdale.
