A new Korean restaurant is expected to have its opening on January 12th. Located at 1803 Bardstown Road, Top 1 Korean restaurant has been in the works for some time after replacing The Bard’s Town after it closed.

Yesterday, Top 1 Korean made the announcement of their impending opening on their Facebook account. Here, they wrote: ‘HELLO Louisville Foodies, Happy New Year! We are starting the New Year’s STRONG with an exciting announcement…The FIRST and long-awaited All You Can Eat (AYCE) KBBQ and Hot Pot is finally here! Please follow us on Instagram and Facebook for more updates on the Soft/Grand Opening Dates.’

As the name suggests, this restaurant will serve Korean BBQ and hotpot which has become a firm favorite across America over the past few years. Typically, this involves plenty of soups, spicy rice dishes, and delicious chicken. The menu can be seen in greater detail on their Instagram which also displays the pricing.

Currently, Louisville has around 10 Korean restaurants dotted around the city. However, some of these are more traditional and there aren’t many that offer both BBQ and hotpot menus. With this said, if you’re a lover of Korean food then this could become a staple spot. The operating hours are: Monday-Friday: 4 pm-10 pm Saturday-Sunday: 2 pm-10 pm.
