Footage shows locals dangerously launching fireworks at a gas station
It goes without saying that New Year’s Eve often brings fireworks celebrations as many people welcome in the new year. Most of the time this is done in a self, fun environment. However, there is always an exception to the rule where people dice with death.
This was the case in the video below, which shows a group of Washington DC residents letting off fireworks directly outside of a gas station. It goes without saying that this is incredibly dangerous and puts other people’s lives at risk.
This took place outside of the gas station next to the Nipsey Hussle mural and was shared on social media. Here, users condemned the acts and stated that the culprits were not only massively irresponsible but also had a death wish.
Discharging fireworks near a gas station is a highly dangerous and illegal activity. Gas stations are filled with flammable materials that can easily ignite if sparks or embers from fireworks come into contact with them, resulting in a devastating fire or explosion.
Moreover, gas stations are usually located in densely populated areas, putting people and property at risk. Even if fireworks are launched high into the sky, they can still land near the gas station and cause a fire.
