Tribo’s Peri Peri Restaurant permanently closes after just 3 years of business

Tribo’s Peri Peri Restaurant has permanently closed its 109 Christopher Columbus Drive location in Jersey City. This was first noticed on its Google profile which has the eatery listed as ‘permanently closed’. Interestingly, the profile also has its status as ‘relocating/current location closed’ which indicates that a nearby branch may be opening at some point. Fans of the eatery shouldn’t be too upset though, as Tribo’s still has its other locations dotted around the city.

Aside from this, there is no other information surrounding its closure which indicates it may have something to do with a lease issue. At this point in time, it is not known what will be replacing the establishment in this location. Tribo’s is a Portuguese restaurant chain that features a range of halal chicken options, from quarter dark chicken with leg and thigh pieces, to whole chicken with all white meat. They also offer combos that include chicken with two sides, such as peri fries, rice, or salad.

During its 3 year stint, Tribo’s proved popular among Jersey City locals and had earned a solid reputation. This may be to do with its Portuguese cuisine which is otherwise lacking in the city. Unfortunately, the location of the new location is unknown, as is its potential re-opening date.
