Popular BBQ Restaurant closes after just one year of business

Almost one year ago, BBQ Blessings first opened in Vancouver. Housed in the spot previously operated by Christine’s restaurant, it has since closed. Since then, it has transpired that BBQ Blessings has permanently closed. Somewhat bizarrely, this was not really known about and it has been shut for a few weeks now. This may be in part due to having zero social media presence which has kept customers in the dark. However, there are two indicators that the eatery has gone for good.

In short, there are two reasons for this. The first is that it is listed on Google as permanently closed. Secondly, a Vancouver resident also confirmed this after visiting the site. Speaking on Reddit, they claimed: “I noticed that BBQ Blessings on St.John’s Road is closed and there are brown paper signs in the window announcing a new brewery and pizza place.”

It has since been revealed that its replacement will indeed be a pizzeria. City filings show that Barrel Mountain Pizza and Pints has applied for a new liquor license for that address. With this said, it looks as though the city could be moving on quickly from BBQ Blessings.

Nonetheless, this will go down as one of the more obscure restaurants in Vancouver. During its one-year stint, the family-owned eatery gained good reviews and was seemingly doing well before vanishing as quickly as it arrived.
