Columbia crib knocks $285,000 off asking price – But it’s still worth millions
One of Columbia’s most expensive properties just slashed $285,000 off its asking price. Originally listed for $1,535,000 in October, it recently dropped the asking price to $1,250,000. Despite still costing big money, this also represents a sizeable discount. Previously, the last time it sold was for $647,500 in 2008 which shows just how expensive the Columbia real estate market has changed over the past 15 years.
Listed on Zillow, this includes 3 bedrooms, 5 bathrooms, and 4,453. Elegantly designed, one of its main standout features is the scenic backyard pool with a fire pit which blends in with the trees and natural surroundings. Originally built in 1972, this blends in its original features with modern renovations perfectly.
As seen, the open-plan living area features high ceilings, wooden beams, sliding doors, and hardwood floors. The home currently has a large empty space upstairs that could be used as a gym, games room, office or it could even be divided into two bedrooms if so desired.
On a separate note, whoever styled this house did a very good job and the olive walls make for a very relaxed setting which compliments the 70s architecture nicely. Overall, this is certainly one of the city’s better houses. Based on its recent price cut, it wouldn’t be surprising to see it sell quickly as it clearly has a lot to offer for potential buyers.
