Rocky’s Jamaica Sunrise announces permanent closure after 14 years of business
One of Maryville’s most beloved Caribbean restaurants has announced that it will permanently close on December 29th. The shock announcement was made on Rocky’s Jamaica Sunrise Facebook page which gained hundreds of supportive comments as likes. Here, many Maryville residents left encouraging and thankful words to the Jamaican eatery.
The statement was released yesterday which read as follows: ‘Rocky’s Jamaica Sunrise would like to thank everyone for supporting us for the last 14 years, but due to the rising in cost and the incompetence of the landlords to do their own repairs we are in great sorrow to announce we will be closing on December 29th. We will have a limited amount of food. We will still be doing catering and selling of his sauce. You will have to directly message me. Thank you for supporting us throughout all these years!’
With this said, it isn’t quite goodbye just yet as they’re still open for a couple of days. Furthermore, if you truly love Rocky’s then it looks as though private catering will be an option moving forward.
Rocky’s menu features a range of traditional Caribbean dishes, including jerk chicken, curry chicken, and other flavorful creations. Even diners from Knoxville are willing to make the drive to Maryville to savor Rocky’s mouth-watering dishes.
