Popular Restaurant abruptly closes after 5 years of business
After five successful years of bringing globally inspired street food to Kansas City’s River Market, Tribe Street Kitchen has concluded its operations as of December 22, 2023. Situated at 316 Delaware Street, the restaurant has become a beloved destination for those seeking culinary adventures from around the world.
However, all may not be lost. This is because the new chapter brings with it the opportunity to maintain Tribe’s legacy. Here, a fellow unknown establishment has acquired the space and plans to reopen its doors within 30 days with the same staff. They intend to honor the spirit of Tribe’s globally inspired menu, potentially featuring favorites like the Bulgogi Beef Rice Bowl, Israeli Couscous Salad, and Ahi Tuna Wontons alongside their own unique offerings.
Whether this promise is actually met remains to be seen. Oftentimes, new owners may want to put their own twist on things which is understandable. With this said, although Tribe Street may be returning soon, it may not exactly be the same as it once was.
Originally founded in 2018 at 316 Delaware St, Tribe Street went on to win stellar reviews from the local food community. Despite its apparent success, the eatery did not explain why it decided to close, which could have been due to financial or personal reasons.
