Legendary Hot Dog Restaurant Cupid’s to close after nearly 80 years of business

December 27, 2023 by No Comments

Established in 1946, Cupid’s Hot Dogs, currently under the esteemed stewardship of third-generation owners Kelly and Morgan Walsh, has regrettably announced the closure of its Northridge location on December 30th, 2023. While the Northridge community bids farewell to the beloved hotspot, Cupid’s will continue to serve its signature fare at its remaining locations in Winnetka, Simi Valley, Fullerton, and Orlando.

This local institution did not mention the reason why they were closing. However, the news has unsurprisingly been met with sadness by the local community for obvious reasons. This Los Angeles hot dog joint served generations of locals who kept coming back for their cuisine.

Speaking on Instagram, the restaurant said: ‘To our valued Northridge customers, December 30, 2023 will be our last day of business at the Cupid’s hot dog Northridge location. We sincerely thank you for your loyalty and for being part of the Cupid’s Northridge family since 1946! We appreciate your business and support. Please continue to enjoy Cupid’s hot dogs until the end of December. We look forward to seeing you and having the opportunity to serve you one last time.’

Known for their delicious hot dogs and friendly service, Cupid’s has become a go-to spot for hot dog lovers across the city. Whether you’re looking for a quick bite or a sit-down meal, Cupid’s has something for everyone. For fans of the joint, it is still available for the next few days.
