A recently uploaded photo went viral on social media and prompted over 550 comments in response. This was based on a customer who had bought their dog to a Whataburger restaurant in San Antonio.

According to the photographer, the dog owner claimed it was used for emotional support. However, these are not covered under the ADA rule and aren’t classified as service animals. With this in mind, the dog should have technically not been allowed in the establishment.

Responding to this, one Reddit user expressed what many were thinking and said: “These hyper individual weirdos can’t see past their own opinion on the matter. And how this might affect anyone else in their community. Restaurant manager dealing with a team full of kids that don’t want to be there, b**** San Antonio customers, they don’t need the extra nonsense of a pet being in a place food is made. And how their other customers might feel about a dog in their dining room.”

Unfortunately, this sight is not new for restaurantgoers and has risen over the past year. Although pets are often beloved, there is a time and a place for them. Understandably, most people don’t want pets around food for obvious reasons.
