Greg Gianforte bashed over Montana employment claims

Montana Governor Greg Gianforte recently took to his personal Twitter account to boast about employment gains in the state. Here, he thanked his constituents in a praising, positive message. However, as is often the case with grand statements, not everyone agreed. This is particularly the case when it comes to a politician saying such things.

Speaking on Twitter, Gianforte said: ‘Montana’s total employment reached a new all-time high in November. Thanks to the hard work of Montanans and our pro-family, pro-jobs agenda, we have more folks working now than ever before.’

Replying to this, one user named Clare Kearns claimed: “The jobs stat in Montana is mostly thanks to Biden’s policies, his support of unions and increased pay, his infrastructure money which created tons of new jobs, etc. Also, Montana is a pro-choice state.” Overall, a number of Montanans were quick to credit Biden for the job market, as opposed to Gianforte.

On a similar note, another user named Jill McIntyre added: “I wonder if that also has something to do with people having to work more than one job just to make ends meet in this stupid inflated non-recession we’re having.”

In short, this shows that all is not always what it first seems. Despite Gianforte’s clear optimism, it looks as though many disagree with him. While this is nothing new when challenging politicians, it does highlight the difference between the views of governors and their constituents.
