Berklee Guitar Center announces shock closure
In 2012, Boston welcomed the Berklee Guitar Center branch. Fast forward 11 years later, and it is now permanently closing. News of the closure spread after a resident snapped a photo of the shop’s exterior. Here, it had closing down signs and discount deals plastered on its windows.
One poster read: ‘We’re taking our final bow. Doors close Jan 14. The music continues at our Boston store, 1255 Boylston St.’ With this said, music fans may be able to get a sizeable discount within the next few weeks before it shuts for good. However, the good news is that the other Guitar Center stores in the local area look to be staying put for now.
At this point, it is not known why the shop has decided to close down. Due to the nature of the closure, it is assumed to be financially motivated. At this point in time it is not known what will be replacing the store.
