Jake’s Trustworthy announces shock closure – And will close next week
One of Pasadena’s most popular restaurants has quietly announced that it will be permanently closing on December 23. This was written on a recent Instagram post which said: ‘Make sure to come by and celebrate our last week here at Jakes! The last day of operation will be 12/23. Thanks guys.’ Aside from this, no other information was given regarding the context of the closure. Based on this, it could be due to personal or financial reasons.
It should be noted that this area has become incredibly expensive in recent years and that also, Jake’s has also closed down (and re-opened) several times in the past. Based on this, it is not impossible that it could potentially re-open in the future at some point.
Jake’s Trustworthy Burgers & Beer is a classic burger joint located in Old Town Pasadena. It was founded in the early 2010s and quickly became a favorite spot for locals looking for a juicy burger and a cold beer. The menu features double-smash burgers, fried chicken sandwiches, hand-cut fries, and locally brewed beers.
One of the standout items on the menu is the Classic Burger, which is a juicy patty topped with classic fixings like lettuce, tomato, pickles, and a special sauce. While Jake’s Trustworthy Burgers & Beer does offer a selection of craft beers, the only beer on tap is Trustworthy, a locally brewed beer.
