Yesterday, an eye-catching sight unfolded at the Tidal Basin as a lucky photographer managed to snap photos of two VH-92A Patriot helicopters as they traveled across the nation’s capital. Here, the photos looked straight out of a movie as the two choppers moved past iconic landmarks such as the Capitol building and the Washington Monument.

If you’re unfamiliar with these helicopters, then they’re actually very important and it’s fair to say that they’re not exactly common. This is because historically, they’re used to transport the US President and Vice President around the country. With this said, it is possible that Biden was in one of these at the time of the photo. Of course, it could have also been a training exercise as well. This is Washington DC after all.

In fact, for aviation fans out there, these are the latest models of VH-92A Patriot which makes the photo even more special. The photo of this special occasion was shared on Reddit by a passerby who happened to be in the right place at the right time.

Historically, the VH-92A Patriot is a military helicopter developed by Sikorsky/Lockheed Martin to replace the Marine One helicopters that transport the President and Vice President of the United States, as well as other high-ranking officials.
