A new toy store, specifically centered around Japanese plushes has opened at 1538 Main Street in Lafayette, Indiana. The aptly named Plushie Store takes over a commercial space that used to be occupied by a failed bookstore named Buy The Book, as well as more recently, a photography studio.

The store is unusual in that it is not a huge chain retail outlet and gets its stock directly from Japan. This will suit those who want the latest Nintendo plush characters but cannot find them in America. As many of these toys are exclusively available in Japan, this will make it a lot easier for Lafayette locals to find what they’re looking for.

The store is open every day of the week except Tuesday and opens from Noon until 8 PM.
