Kim Reynolds blasted after claiming that Iowa mothers support DeSantis
Recently, Kim Reynolds further put her support behind Republican Presidential candidate Ron DeSantis after publically backing him on her Twitter page. While her support for the Florida governor is not new, she also roped Iowan mothers into his supposed fanbase. Naturally, this drew lots of criticism from the left. However, Iowan Trump fans also brandished her as a RINO (Republican in name only.)
On her account, Reynolds wrote: ‘Mom’s across Iowa helped usher in a Red Wave in 2022 – now they are fighting for @RonDeSantis!Led by the fiercest MaMa of all @CaseyDeSantis!’ which was accompanied by a photo op.
Replying to this, one user named Tamela Jaeger claimed: “No one is fighting for DeSantis and his loud mouth wanna be first lady…disloyal, disrespectful and traitors to MAGA AND AMERICA…but you do you Ms Reynolds, also a disloyal to MAGA.”
Elsewhere, another user added: “No one is fighting for Ronnie, except a bunch of trolls on here and a bunch of RINO’s.”
Unfortunately for Reynolds, her statement gained over 700 comments, with many of them following a similar theme. Quite clearly, this was a disaster in PR. It also doesn’t bode well for her own political future either, having upset large swathes of her own political party.
