ValuMarket’s stolen smoker seen listed for sale on Facebook under 24 hours after theft

Less than 24 hours after Valumarket’s grill was stolen, it was featured for sale on Facebook Marketplace. Just yesterday, we did an article on the smoker and how it went missing. Now, an identical, 22-foot smoke grill has gone up for sale in Louisville. This was spotted on Instagram which prompted a variety of responses by locals. Here, many found it humorous that such an obvious, bizarre item was so brazenly listed on a public platform.

Part of the sales message was also posted to Instagram and said ‘I am selling it for a friend of mine, if you have any questions please feel free to ask them and I will answer them to the best of my knowledge or give him a phone call.’ The description also called the grill ‘nothing short of a money-making cash cow’ and that they wanted $3,000 or best offer.

The listing was originally posted by a woman named Kayla and was photographed near a wooded area. Interestingly, the listing claimed that it was being sold on behalf of a friend, which is a typical excuse when selling stolen goods to try and remove any responsibility. Nonetheless, it looks like Kayla is oblivious to the backstory to this grill and just how aware the internet and the people of Louisville are when it comes to its recent history.
