Popular Tex-Mex Restaurant to close at the end of the year

December 6, 2023 by No Comments

After a successful seven-year run, San Antonio’s Sangria on the Burg will be bidding farewell to its loyal patrons. The beloved Tex-Mex establishment, renowned for its rotating specials, tantalizing sangria flights, and inventive tacos, made the announcement on their social media channels, leaving many regulars disheartened and simultaneously shocked.

Here, they wrote: ‘Dear Sangria friends, fans, and family, it’s with many emotions we announce the closing of Sangria on the Burg on December 31st. Rising costs and declining sales is a hard combination for business to survive. We are proud to have been a part of San Antonio’s culinary community. We are proud to have served so many wonderful neighbors and visitors. We are proud to have won San Antonio’s Best New Restaurant, to have been nominated for Best Restaurant in San Antonio, and to have been nominated 4 times for Best Chef in San Antonio.’

The rather long statement praised customers and gained thousands of likes from supporters. As the final curtain approaches, owner Ceasar Zepeda extends an invitation to San Antonio to join him in celebrating the restaurant’s legacy before its doors close for good on December 31st. At this moment in time, it is not known what will replace Sangria on the Burg.
