Award-winning craft beer enthusiasts Bryan Berretta and his team are bringing their passion for hand-crafted brews to Memphis with the upcoming MFS Brewing, a brewery and taproom with a small kitchen set to grace the heart of Downtown Memphis.

Located at 206 GE Patterson, MFS Brewing will occupy a spacious 4,300 square feet, offering a relaxed and inviting ambiance where guests can savor a variety of quality craft beers, seltzers, and sodas while fostering connections with other local businesses and engaging in community-driven events.

The brainchild of the Memphis Filling Station LLC ownership team, comprising Bryan Berretta, Heather Reed, Jesse Lara, Scott Kley-Contini, and Blake Marcum, MFS Brewing aims to become a thriving hub for beer enthusiasts and a haven for collaboration and community engagement.

With a 7-barrel brewhouse equipped with 3.5- and 7-barrel unitank fermenters, MFS Brewing will ensure a steady flow of fresh, flavorful brews. Head Brewer Bryan Berretta plans to brew three days a week to meet the anticipated demand.

Patrons familiar with Memphis Filling Station’s beers at events like the Science of Beer and Memphis Brew Fest will find a selection of their favorites, now lovingly refined and perfected over the years, gracing the MFS taproom.

MFS Brewing’s prime location at the intersection of the vibrant South Main Arts District and the burgeoning South City neighborhood couldn’t be more ideal. Surrounded by the $65 million Butler Row mixed-use development project, the brewery will be well-positioned to cater to the influx of residents and visitors alike.

While MFS Brewing doesn’t yet have a signed lease for the premises, the team has submitted a $30,000 Downtown Retail Tenant Improvement Grant application to the Center City Development Corporation to aid in essential interior renovations such as plumbing and electrical upgrades.

The Center City Development Corporation is scheduled to review the application next week on Wednesday, December 13, paving the way for MFS Brewing to officially make its mark on the Memphis craft beer scene in the summer of 2024.
