Popular coffee shop chain Tim Hortons is expanding its presence in Texas with a new location in Coppell. The Canadian coffee giant, founded in 1964, has secured a spot on the south side of State Highway 121, between Freeport Parkway and Northwestern Drive. The restaurant will occupy 1,640 square feet and is expected to cost around $900,000 to construct.

The Coppell City Council unanimously approved a zone change request for the Tim Hortons location in July 2023. Construction is set to begin in March 2024, and an opening date has not yet been announced. This marks the third Tim Hortons location in Texas, with the first two opening in Houston and Katy. The Coppell location will be the first in North Texas.

With over 4,800 restaurants worldwide, Tim Hortons is a familiar name in the coffee scene. The company’s menu includes hot and iced coffee, donuts, bagels, and breakfast sandwiches. Some popular menu items include the Bacon Breakfast Wrap, Turkey Bacon Club sandwich, soups and chili, and a variety of sweet treats like apple fritters and Timbits.

Residents of Coppell and surrounding areas can look forward to enjoying Tim Hortons’ signature coffee and treats when the new location opens its doors in 2024. Look out Texas, there may be more on the way still.
