New Healthy Japanese Yogurt Shop to open in Hoboken
A new dessert shop specializing in Japanese-style treats with a health-conscious twist is coming to Hoboken. Hey Yogurt will establish its second location just steps from Hoboken Terminal. To date, Hoboken doesn’t really have any yogurt shops like this, with most competitors having an emphasis on sugar rather than health.
The Hoboken Historic Preservation Committee granted approval for signage at 90 Hudson Street during their June meeting. The former medical office will be transformed into a Hey Yogurt outpost, following the success of their initial Fort Lee location on Main Street. As seen, a poster has been put up, but work is still needed to be done on the venue, including the removal of the old Hoboken Integrated Healthcare signage.
Hey Yogurt promises “unparalleled flavor” with their yogurt beverages, offering both classic flavors like mango, green grape, Oreo, and strawberry, as well as more adventurous options like lychee, red bean, and purple rice.
The dessert shop also features Japanese cream puffs and cheesecakes from Love Me Sweet, a bakery partner based in Ontario. Their menu boasts unique flavors such as hojicha, durian, and matcha tiramisu varieties.
Hey Yogurt’s website has also confirmed their expansion into Hoboken, while the banner in the above photo also shows that the store is now due to open in March of next year.
