Dave’s Hot Chicken finally opens Seattle location – And locals are loving it
In 2022, Los Angeles-based Dave’s Hot Chicken announced its expansion into the Seattle region, expressing interest in exploring real estate options and potentially opening up to 10 locations. Since then, the company seems to have made significant progress, as it recently opened its Capitol Hill location. This has been overseen by Ajay Keshap and Sana Keshap, a father-daughter duo managing numerous Denny’s and Papa John’s franchises, to establish a Dave’s Hot Chicken outlet at the corner of 12th Avenue and Pike Street, the former site of Little Big Burger.
Capitol Hill is already brimming with fried chicken establishments, with more to come. The neighborhood boasts Taku by Shota Nakajima, Ooink by Chong Boon Ooi, Ma’ono, Pelicana, Bok a Bok, the Chicken Factory, and potentially others that have slipped our minds. And if that’s not enough, Korean chain Sodam is also planning a Capitol Hill location. However, there’s always room for one more. So far, it has opened to rave reviews.
Dave’s Hot Chicken is a popular fast-casual restaurant chain that specializes in Nashville-style hot chicken. The chain was founded in Los Angeles in 2017, and it has since expanded to over 100 locations across the United States. The menu is focused on fried chicken, with options ranging from mild to reaper heat levels, plus sides like french fries, mac and cheese, and slaw.
