Brewery to permanently close its doors after 8 years of business
Lakes & Legends Brewing Company announced that it will be shuttering its taproom doors on January 6, 2024. This decision marks the culmination of an eight-year journey for the beloved taproom, which has become a cherished hub for community events, including animal adoptions and a weekly Bingo night in support of Firefighters for Healing.
The announcement to close was first made on Instagram, where the brewery wrote: ‘End of an era: 8 years since we opened our doors. Hundreds of team members joined our family. Tens of thousands of guests came through our doors and joined our adventure. Hundreds of beers and other drinks were made and distributed.’
Despite the announcement being quite detailed, it failed to note the reason why Lakes & Legends had decided to close. This could have been down to either financial or personal decisions but was not noted.
Situated at 1368 Lasalle Ave S, Minneapolis, Lakes & Legends Brewing Company will commemorate its eight years of operation on December 9. The taproom’s closure marks a bittersweet chapter in the company’s history, but its legacy of fostering community engagement and camaraderie will undoubtedly live on.
At this moment in time, it is not known what will be replacing Lakes & Legends, albeit the venue was rather large and could host a similar-themed business.
