Popular Texas Barbecue Chain sets its sights on Houston after buying real estate
According to a Houston internet sleuth, there is a very strong possibility that Terry Black’s Barbecue will be opening its first restaurant in the city within the next few years. This makes logical sense, considering the Texas chain already has locations in neighboring cities.
News of the potential opening was first made on Reddit where the user showed the proposed site. This was based in the Heights which showed a large strip of land that the barbecue chain had allegedly purchased.
This was located on N. Shepherd and according to the photo, it would allow for the enterprise to include a sizeable restaurant, as well as ample parking space. Although not yet confirmed, this would also show a significant change in the area. Just a few years ago, it was primarily known for its mechanics rather than its restaurants.
With locations in Austin, Dallas, Lockhart, and Fort Worth, it’s known for its slow-smoked meats, homemade sides, and mouth-watering barbecue sauces. Terry Black’s has been around since 2014 and has become a local favorite in Texas.
The menu features all the classics: brisket, ribs, pulled pork, smoked turkey, and others. Similarly, sides include options like mac and cheese, potato salad, and baked beans. As for drinks, Terry Black’s also offers a wide selection of beers, cocktails, and Texas wines to pair with the barbecue.
