Known as La Cocina Cubana, Connecticut has a new food truck in town. Located at the Bushnell, this will offer customers Cuban sandwiches, ropa vieja, pork, and picadillo bowls, as well as sides and soft drinks. Inspired by the vibrant hues and lively energy of Havana, this restaurant transports you to the heart of Cuba with its tantalizing menu of traditional dishes. Each dish is a symphony of flavors, crafted with the freshest ingredients and time-honored techniques. It’s fair to say that this type of cuisine is quite a rarity for Connecticut but Cuban food is also known for being very delicious.

While Connecticut does have some Cuban eateries, these are brick and mortar restaurants. With this said, food truck culture isn’t massive in the state. The food truck’s sleek, modern design and eye-catching black vinyl wrap make it easy to spot. Currently, the truck is frequently spotted in the Pope Park Highway area and near the Bushnell Theatre, so keep an eye out for it during your travels.

As there is only one other known Cuban food truck in the Hartford area, the arrival of La Cocina Cubana is sure to please many local residents. In the past, those who wanted to enjoy Cuban food often had to travel to New Haven, which is about 45 minutes away from Hartford.
