An application has been filed to construct a Wawa convenience store and sandwich shop at the intersection of Murfreesboro Pike and Mt. View Road. The project, named Wawa Murfreesboro Pike & Mt View Rd, was submitted by Murfreesboro-based Site Engineering Consultants Inc., which is also serving as the project’s architect and engineer.

The 4.86-acre property at 3332 Murfreesboro Pike is owned by Mt. View Crossing LLC, which purchased the land in 1998 for $295,000. Mt. View Crossing LLC is registered to a Brentwood residence owned by Tom Muhsin.

Wawa, headquartered in Philadelphia, announced plans last year to expand its operations to Tennessee by 2025. The company did not disclose specific locations at the time but indicated the potential for up to 40 stores in the state, according to a press release.

Wawa currently operates over 950 locations across Pennsylvania, Florida, New Jersey, Delaware, Virginia, Maryland, and Washington, D.C.

Wawa is an American chain of convenience stores and gas stations that originated in Pennsylvania but has since expanded to many other states along the East Coast. It’s known for its fresh, made-to-order hoagies, as well as its wide selection of snacks, beverages, and other convenience store items. Wawa also has a loyalty program and a mobile app that allows customers to order food and drinks ahead of time for pick-up.
