Beloved bar and music venue to permanently close after 6 years of business
The lively Fort Worth bar scene is bidding farewell to a beloved establishment, the Twilite Lounge, as it prepares to close its doors for good on Tuesday. Just a day shy of its sixth anniversary, the bar’s operators made the somber announcement on Instagram, leaving patrons and the local arts community reeling from the loss.
Here, they wrote: “It is with heavy hearts that we are announcing our final day of operation will be next Tuesday, December 5th. We would love to have you come by between now and then to share any stories you have here and to say goodbye to the staff that has taken care of you for these past 6 years. They have been extremely awesome to us, and we would not have made it this long without them.”
According to the owner, the financial assistance that sustained venues during the COVID-19 pandemic has dwindled, and audience attendance remained insufficient to compensate for the resulting deficit.
Beyond its role as a popular watering hole, Twilite Lounge has been a cherished haven for local musicians, artists, and comedians, providing a stage for their talents and fostering a vibrant creative hub.
