Residents of Hoboken were excited this morning when photos of new signage appeared for a restaurant named “The Biscuit Babe” appeared in a storefront.

This store is located at the previous address of D’s Soul Full Cafe, which despite being very popular and having a 4.6 star rating on Google, sadly closed down in May this year. Since then, the storefront has been empty for 6 months, so locals are excited to see a new small business take the space.

The restaurant is located at 918 Willow Avenue, next to Columbus Park, which for those who do not know is right in the center of a very popular restaurant district with a variety of other cuisine choices.

Although there is no menu or website released yet for this independent store, we would imagine that the restaurant will serve the following classic recipes:

Assorted Biscuits and Spreads: A variety of freshly baked biscuits, ranging from classic buttermilk to flavored varieties like cheddar, garlic, or herb-infused. Served with a variety of spreads such as honey butter, jam, and clotted cream.

Biscuit Sandwiches: Savory options could include fried chicken, bacon, egg, and cheese, or a vegetarian option with avocado and sprouts. Sweet versions might feature biscuits with Nutella, banana slices, or a berry compote.

Biscuit-Based Breakfasts: Traditional breakfast platters with biscuits, gravy, scrambled eggs, and breakfast meats like sausage or bacon. Alternatively, biscuits paired with smoked salmon, cream cheese, and capers.

Either way, residents of Hoboken look to be in store for some excellent biscuits, something which the city has been in need of for quite some time.
