Huge new supermarket to open within weeks
Publix Super Markets is gearing up for the grand opening of its first Louisville store later this year. The grocery chain is currently hosting multiple in-person hiring events to fill various positions at the new location.
The exact opening date for the Kentucky store remains under wraps, but Publix has scheduled hiring events for Thursday and Friday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Embassy Suites Louisville East, located at 9940 Corporate Campus Drive. Additional hiring events will also be held throughout November.
In July, Publix launched a dedicated website to keep prospective Kentucky shoppers informed about the store’s progress. The Hello, Kentucky website provides updates on future product offerings, grand opening specials, and exciting promotions.
The employee-owned retailer has plans to expand its presence in Kentucky beyond the initial Louisville store. Two more locations are slated for Louisville, and two additional stores are in the pipeline for Lexington. These expansions will further solidify Publix’s commitment to serving the communities of Kentucky.
Founded in 1930, it’s headquartered in Florida and operates over 1,200 stores in the southeastern United States. Publix is known for its fresh, high-quality products, its friendly and knowledgeable staff, and its commitment to customer service.
