Yet another pizzeria opens in Hoboken
Ovale, a new pizza joint specializing in Roman ‘pinsa’, has just opened its doors at 305 Willow Avenue in Hoboken. This spot has been unused for a while and was previously occupied by Prime Time, a convenience store, so it is good to see that it has finally been put to good use.
‘Pinsa’ is a style of pizza that originated in Rome. It is made with a hand-pressed dough that is allowed to rise for a long period of time. This results in a pizza with a crispy crust and an airy interior.
Ovale’s menu features over 20 different pinsas to choose from, including both traditional and elevated options. Traditional pinsas include cheese and pepperoni, while elevated pinsas feature different assortments of cheeses, meats, and vegetables. Ovale also offers a selection of stuffed focaccias and salads.
Over the years, Hoboken has gained a strong reputation for its high number of pizza restaurants. In fact, it may even have some of the most per square meter when compared to other cities. This will be the second Ovale in the area, as the original location is situated at Cliffside Park. This establishment has a stellar reputation for providing fresh, healthy pizzas that use an authentic taste.
