Coffee Shop & Retro Arcade opens in Baltimore

Coffeecade, a unique concept that blends retro arcade games with freshly brewed specialty coffee, officially opened its doors to Baltimore residents in 2023. The journey to establish this one-of-a-kind establishment was far from easy for owner Andy Lee.

Fresh out of college, Lee married and embarked on a decade-long career in the Marine Corps, serving in three combat deployments. Upon settling in Maryland with his family, Lee continued his service in additional deployments, culminating in five combat tours throughout his career. These experiences, while challenging and impactful, ignited Lee’s entrepreneurial spirit and led to the conception of Coffeecade.

Coffeecade’s entry fee grants access to the arcade’s diverse collection of games. Patrons can opt for a one-hour play session for $7 or an all-day pass for $21, with the latter option including a complimentary coffee beverage.

Currently, Coffeecade boasts 25 arcade games, with a rotating selection of 50 titles in total. The eclectic mix includes iconic games like Pinballs, Tron, Mortal Kombat, Double Drag, Kung-Fu Master, Lethal Weapon, Congo Bongo, Pac-Man, Miss Pac-Man, Missile Command, Vulgus, Donkey Kong, Space Invaders, Tag Team wrestling, a Sega driving game, a mechanized attack shooter game, and many more.

Coffeecade is not just an arcade; it’s a complete coffee house experience. Patrons can indulge in a variety of specialty teas, blended drinks, homemade muffins, baked goods, breakfast items, and much more. Coffeecade is open from Tuesday through Sunday, providing a welcoming space for gamers, coffee enthusiasts, and anyone seeking a nostalgic escape.
