Phoenix to get new Cornish Pasty Restaurant next year
Popular eatery Cornish Pasty Co. is set to establish its presence in downtown Glendale, joining a wave of new businesses venturing into the Westside area. The highly anticipated restaurant is scheduled to open its doors in the Gaslight Building, situated at the intersection of Glendale and 58th avenues, in the spring of 2024. The precise address will be 5753 W. Glendale Ave.
Cornish Pasty Co., founded in 2005, has successfully expanded its operations across the Valley and beyond, with two locations currently thriving in Nevada. As the name suggests, this eatery serves up British-inspired pasties and has more than 40 different combinations for customers to choose from.
Despite being quintessentially British, pasties are not very common in the US. However, it looks as though this local chain may be on to a winning formula. Originally founded in the British region of Cornwall, this is where their name comes from.
These include British favorites like steak and ale, chicken tikka masala, and bangers and mash, as well as more unique options like curried lamb, jalapeño popper, and even a vegan pasty. They also have a selection of sides like mashed potatoes, baked beans, and coleslaw. The restaurant is known for its cozy atmosphere, friendly service, and, of course, its tasty pasties.
