Rochester’s entertainment scene gained a new addition last Saturday with the grand opening of Dice Versa, the city’s first board game lounge. Nestled on the ground floor of Tower280 in downtown Rochester, Dice Versa welcomes guests with its inviting ambiance, reminiscent of a bar, and an impressive collection of over 250 board games.

Beyond its extensive board game library, Dice Versa plans to host a variety of events, including Magic: The Gathering tournaments and Dungeons and Dragons sessions.

Dice Versa joins The Grove, a vibrant assemblage of dining and entertainment options nestled between Tower280 and the Butler/Till building at 260 Broad St., both Buckingham Properties developments.

For a mere $10, patrons can enjoy three hours of unlimited board game fun at Dice Versa. The establishment boasts an intimate ambiance with approximately 15 tables, complemented by a 14-stool bar. A private party room is also available.

The allure of having a private space for gatherings was a significant factor in the owners decision to establish Dice Versa. He envisions employing two bartenders, a full-time cook, and a part-time cook. Dice Versa’s operating hours are as follows: 4 p.m. to 11 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday, 4 p.m. to 1 a.m. on Friday, noon to 1 a.m. on Saturday, and noon to 9 p.m. on Sunday. Dice Versa will be closed on Mondays.
