New gym finally opens in Fairmount
Yesterday, City Fitness finally opened in Fairmount after months of social media promotion. Despite Fairmount being a fairly sizeable place within Philadelphia, before City Fitness, it had no gyms in the area. From a business perspective, this means that it may do quite well due to a lack of competition.
The gym is located at 2112 Fairmount Ave and has three floors. From the outside, it doesn’t look particularly impressive. However, upon closer inspection, it is quite sizeable, modern, and well-maintained with a number of exercise equipment for all levels and skill sets.
This isn’t the first City Fitness located in Philly either, as the group also has locations in the likes of Fishtown and Logan Square. In fact, if you’ve trained at other City Fitness venues, then it’s basically the same and you can expect a similar experience.
Like many new gyms, this is currently running a promotion on its pricing for new members. So, if you want to get in shape for the holiday season on a budget then you may want to consider this. Overall, it will be interesting to see how this gym gets on in the long run. It looks as though this won’t be the first City Fitness location in Philly, nor will it be the last.
