Popular Bagel Shop to open next year
The popular bagel shop Allie Boy’s Bagelry and Luncheonette is set to expand its reach to Milwaukee’s east side, with plans to open a second location at 2108 N. Farwell Ave. in May 2024.
Owners Staci Lopez and Ben Nerenhausen, who opened the original Allie Boy’s Bagelry and Luncheonette in Walker’s Point in 2020, have been eager to bring their beloved bagel shop to the east side for some time. The success of their first location, despite facing early challenges like the COVID-19 pandemic, flooding, and a fire, has solidified their decision to expand.
The new location will provide a larger workspace, allowing the couple to purchase bigger equipment and increase their bagel production capacity. Additionally, the Farwell Avenue location will offer a sit-down area, a parking lot, and a simplified menu featuring classic favorites like egg and cheese sandwiches, lox bagels, and pastrami bagels.
Over the years, Allie Boy’s Bagelry and Luncheonette has earned its spot as one of the most popular bagel spots in Milwaukee. Based on this, its expansion may not be as surprising as it first seems.
Lopez and Nerenhausen are thrilled to share their passion for bagels with the east side community, confident that their new location will be met with the same enthusiasm as their original spot.
