Coralville’s River Landing is expanding its culinary offerings with two new restaurants set to open this fall and winter: Hokkaido Ramen House and Modern Market Eatery. This follows the recent opening of Blue Agave Mexican restaurant, further diversifying the dining options available in the area. This will be the first Hokkaido restaurant to venture into Iowa territory.

Hokkaido Ramen House, taking over the former Fuzzy’s Taco Shop location at 201 E. Ninth St., brings its authentic Japanese ramen dishes to Iowa. With over 30 franchised locations nationwide, Hokkaido Ramen House has a proven track record of satisfying ramen enthusiasts. Their entrance into Iowa follows a successful expansion in Montana and Idaho in 2021, with 10 new restaurants opening across those states.

This full-service restaurant offers a wide variety of savory ramen dishes, featuring oriental-style wheat noodles in broth with a choice of pork, chicken, or beef. Complemented by vegetables and a specially soft-boiled egg marinated in sweet soy sauce, these ramen bowls are sure to tantalize taste buds. The menu also includes other Asian specialties like tonkotsu pork and boba tea, catering to a diverse range of culinary preferences.

Set to open early next year, it looks as though Iowa River Landing continues to establish itself as a vibrant hub for dining and shopping, catering to a diverse range of tastes and preferences.
