Seattle BBQ fans won’t be very pleased as yesterday it was announced that Roro’s had permanently shut its doors. This was shown in a photograph of a sign on the window which read: ‘Sorry! We appreciate your business, Roro’s is now closed. Thank You, Roro’s.’

This was accompanied by a much longer sign next to it which explained the closure in more detail. According to the owner, Roro’s closed due to a lease issue and was now looking to start a new eatery elsewhere starting in early December.

News of the closure was first shared on Reddit. Here, a number of saddened users paid their respects to Roro’s with many claiming that it was one of the best BBQ restaurants in the city, and North Seattle in particular. At this point in time, it is not known what will be replacing the Roro’s venue in the future.

Founded in 2007, Roro’s was known for its classics like ribs, pulled pork, brisket, and chicken, all smoked low and slow for maximum flavor. They also offered a variety of sides, like mac and cheese, coleslaw, and baked beans. Roro’s has been serving up delicious BBQ since 2007 and became a go-to spot for locals and visitors alike.
