Huge lines seen at ABIA as travellers forced to wait
The holiday rush is in full swing in Austin, Texas, with the ABIA airport experiencing a significant backlog of passengers due to high demand. One traveler shared their ordeal of waiting for nearly one hour after their plane landed.
In discussions on Reddit about the situation, Austin residents noted that the local transportation services weren’t performing as efficiently as in the past. This decline in service quality could be a contributing factor to the increasing frequency of such delays. However, no one really knows and some claimed that their queues weren’t as bad.
Commenting on the scenario, one user even went as far as to say: “It’s the longest security line I’ve been in here, but they were prepared and pretty well organized. We just got through in about 40 minutes, which was impressive for the huge number of people. On previous trips, I’ve had much shorter lines take longer.”
Despite these challenges, ABIA generally maintains a good reputation. However, a look at recent reviews suggests that such delays are not an isolated incident, indicating a recurring problem that needs addressing. Having said this, with Thanksgiving and Christmas just around the corner, it looks as though this could be a sign of things to come.
