Hounds & Hops has recently opened its doors on the plaza level of Seneca One. This new spot not only serves the residents of the tower but also welcomes anyone in the downtown area who’s out and about with their canine companions. This joins a number of other businesses currently located in the tower.

The venue combines essential dog-related services with a sociable environment. It currently offers professional grooming services and features a dog-friendly bar area. This is just the beginning, as the second phase, set to launch in the spring of 2024, will expand to include dog boarding facilities and both indoor and outdoor dog parks. According to their website, the bar features six dog-based ales on offer such as Stella’s Pick – which is described as a smooth, light brew.

Recently, dog-based bars have grown considerably across the USA. With this in mind, if you’re new to this concept then it’s not as unusual as it may first sound. Having said this, time will tell whether this is a long-term business or a passing fad. Regardless, if you’re in the area and particularly if you have your dog present then this may be worth a visit.
