Megaroad Toys and Entertainment has recently opened a brick-and-mortar store located in Coraopolis. The store specializes in a wide range of Japanese-inspired items, including anime accessories, Kamen Rider toys, models, figures, plush dolls, models, stationery, and many other unique products. As well as selling products, the store also offers a variety of events for the local community. For instance, next weekend they will also be hosting a Pokemon Go party which was announced on their Facebook page.

Interestingly, the store actually opened last month. However, this was not picked up by local news outlets who quietly announced its opening on its social media pages. In other words, unless you’re actively into the local anime scene around Pittsburgh then you may not have noticed this.

In recent years, Coraopolis has become a bit of a mecca for local nerds. It also has Forge Coraopolis and Taitan Game Shop. With this said, it looks as though Megaroad is (literally) positioned to be a success. Often, these places also act as a community hub and aren’t just about making money. Here, they also act as a place for people to make friends and meet up with like-minded people.
