Eerie image shows San Antonio engulfed by fog

Over the past few days, a thick fog has engulfed the San Antonio streets. In fact, you may mistake it for scenes from San Francisco. As a result, this has created some eerie visuals. Because of this, there have already been comparisons made with the video game Silent Hill, which is a supernatural horror based in a fog-laden town. While the reality for San Antonio isn’t quite at that level, it’s still been weird to witness such unusual weather.

The image below was originally shared on Reddit and showed the Rolling Oaks Mall eerily covered in fog. Here, the photographer wrote: “Wow, appreciate the comments and upvotes. Yeah, the place was hella eerie to walk around. Beautiful and creepy at the same time. Believe it or not Rolling Oaks is still a very much functioning mall. The absence of big-name dept stores makes it look like a dead mall but there is still shops and a food court. They even have mini-cons like Wonderland of Americas Mall. My favorite pic is the employee entrance to Macy’s with the red door and the cat tower across from it. I have more pics of the place so maybe I’ll post a sequel.”

Typically, fog is formed when warm, moist air rises and encounters cooler air, causing the water vapor to condense into tiny droplets of water that form a layer of fog or mist. The presence of large bodies of water, valleys, or low-lying areas can make fog more likely to occur.
