Popular Cafe to open in Knoxville next week

November 17, 2023 by No Comments

Aretha Frankensteins is set to delight Knoxville residents with its new location at 3318 Chapman Highway, opening on Nov. 20, just in time for Thanksgiving celebrations. The opening date of this popular Chattanooga breakfast venue was announced on its website and later confirmed by a spokesperson. This marks the first expansion of Aretha Frankensteins, which will operate its second outlet from 7:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. on weekdays and until 3 p.m. on weekends.

The establishment was acquired in February 2021 by Jake and Taylor Ogle, who own Scrambled Jake’s Breakfast Company on Northshore Drive and are avid supporters of Aretha Frankensteins. Their intention was to bring this Scenic City favorite to Knoxville.

Last month, Aretha Frankensteins revealed that they were in the process of recruiting staff for the Knoxville branch.

Situated in a South Knoxville area with limited independent dining options, Aretha Frankensteins is known for its Waffles of Insane Greatness, which have been featured on the Food Network, and its signature thick buttermilk pancakes. If you happen to ask Chattanoogans about this venue, then you will realize that it’s quite special and may become your next favorite breakfast joint.

Having been in operation for 20 years, this is the first time Aretha Frankensteins is venturing into opening an additional location.
